Moxa is pleased to announce the launch of the MXNVR-RO-T, a rugged industrial NVR (network video recorder) specifically designed for use on trains.

With optimized performance, innovative features, and a rugged design, the MXNVR-RO-T is ideal for the demands of onboard surveillance applications.

Optimized Performance and Functions
Designed with the powerful Intel® i7 processor i7-3517UE and an efficiently designed software for live viewing and recording, the MXNVR-RO-T can be connected to multiple IP cameras for real-time viewing of 720P (1280 x 720) images at up to 120 FPS for the cameras displayed in a 1/4 layout. It can also record 1080P (1920 x 1080) images at up to 450 FPS. To ensure suitability for use on trains, the MXNVR-RO-T is equipped with a user-friendly “Driver View” interface to display video images and the status of the camera, including its network and recording status, enabling drivers and onboard operators to identify problems and react to incidents immediately. As the accuracy and security of a recorded file is often one of the highest priorities in mission-critical applications, the MXNVR-RO-T incorporates a “digital signature” protection mechanism that kicks in as soon as a video stream is recorded, instead of before the file is exported, significantly reducing the possibility of the file being tampered with.

Extreme Reliability for Onboard Applications
The MXNVR-RO-T operates effectively in temperatures between -40 and 70°C, without a fan or heater, and is protected against EMI and power surges. It is also compliant with the essential sections of the EN 50155 standard that make products more suitable for rolling stock railway applications. These industrial-grade features give the MXNVR-RO-T the versatility and ruggedness required to operate reliably in demanding onboard applications.

Key Features and Benefits

  • • Compliant with the EN 50121-3-2 standard and essential sections of the EN 50155 standard
  • • Operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C (TX models), without a fan or heater
  • • Record 1080P (1920 x 1080) images at up to 450 FPS
