Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been commissioned by AnsaldoBreda S.p.A., Naples (Italy) to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for 39 cab cooling and 157 saloon air-condidioning systemson board 19 ETR 700 high speedtrains.Each ETR 700 train consists of eight cars andtwodriver’s cabs and eight saloon HVAC unitsare installed in each car.
The air conditioning systems have beendesigned and manufactured by Liebherr. In addition tomandatory examinations, the certified service technicians from Liebherr-Transportation Systems will also perform on-site repairs on the refrigerant circuits of the air conditioning systems. These measures will further enhance the safety, availability and reliability of the HVAC units and consequently the travel comfort for both, passengers and the drivers.
Thecontract is complemented with the provision of a stock of spare parts, which will permit the service team to perform the corrective maintenance directly onsite of Trenitalia S.p.A..
