Menzies Aviation announces new contract with Frontier Airlines

AI Summary

Menzies Aviation has announced a new contract with Frontier Airlines to provide full ground services at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), starting from next month. Menzies Aviation already provides into-plane fueling at ATL for many airlines.

Recruitment of a new team of around 200 colleagues to manage ground services operation will take place, and around $3 million will be invested into new ground services equipment (GSE) by Menzies Aviation.

John Redmond, Executive Vice President Americas, Menzies Aviation said: “We are delighted to expand into ground services at Atlanta and to add another important Frontier location to our large network of airports with the airline.

“We know the Frontier product very well from our existing operations, especially in Denver and Orlando, and we are excited to work with Frontier at this new location to provide safe, secure and consistent quality service for Frontier and their guests.”

As a result of this new contract with Frontier Airlines, this is the 20th city where Menzies Aviation provides services to Frontier. This includes Denver International Airport (DEN) and Orlando International Airport (MCO), and now ATL.

These airports in the US are considered the three largest hubs for Frontier Airlines, and Menzies will be the service provider at all three.

Jake Filene, Senior Vice President Customers, Frontier Airlines said: “We have built up a strong relationship over the past several years with Menzies and we consider them a trusted and reliable business partner.

“Frontier is focused on delivering a friendly and reliable experience for our customers, and partners like Menzies are essential in helping us to deliver upon our promise of Low Fares Done Right.

“Menzies is now our partner in 20 cities and we are looking forward to working with their new team in Atlanta.”
