IVU Traffic Technologies AG continues on its successful course: In its Annual Report published the Berlin-based IT specialist for public transport announces the best results in the company’s 40-year history. All the key figures – revenues (€88.8 million), gross profit (€62.1 million) and EBIT (€10.5 million) – were significantly higher than in the previous year.

While revenue and gross profit increased by 14% and 19% respectively compared with the previous year, EBIT grew by more than 50% year-on-year. To enable investors to participate in the positive development, the Executive Board and Supervisory Board of IVU have decided to propose a dividend of €0.16 per share to the Annual General Meeting on 28 May 2020 – an increase of more than 30% compared to last year’s distribution.

The structure of IVU’s business consists primarily of the development and sale of digital products. The company currently does not expect any significant effects from the novel coronavirus; in the hardware-related systems business there could be postponements depending on the duration and extent of the restrictions. At present, IVU assumes that the annual targets will be achieved despite the coronavirus. The Executive Board therefore continues to expect revenues of over €90 million and EBIT of over €10 million for 2020.

“We are pleased with the high profitability of IVU, which has led to a record profit. The annual result for 2019 shows: We are on a sustainable growth path – public transport, digitalisation and climate protection are on everyone’s lips,” says Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU Traffic Technologies. “At the moment, however, I would like to thank above all my colleagues who have reacted with commitment and flexibility to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus and are now working on our projects and products largely from home.”

The 2019 Annual Report is available for download on IVU’s website at: www.ivu.com/investors/financial-reports.html

IVU Traffic Technologies has been working for over 40 years with more than 600 engineers to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly public transport.
