MKU GmbH is proud to be associated with the Baden Wurttemberg class frigate project F-125 (7200 tons) which is being built for the German Navy by two leading German shipyards, Thyssenkrupp and Lurssen at a cost of over 650 million Euro each. This is a unique project which features enhanced survivability – ensuring that the ships remain operational in spite of severe damage due to accident or enemy action.

MKU GmbH, is a leading manufacturer and solution provider for naval vessel protection in Germany with over 28 years of domain experience. Over these years, MKU GmbH has provided protection solution for more than 500 naval vessels, both big and small, including frigates, mega yachts, patrol boats, fast interceptor crafts, RIBs and hovercrafts. It is a registered NATO supplier since 1993 and also an accredited supplier to the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In Service Support (BAAINBw).

MKU GmbH provides end to end solutions and complete project management for protection of Land, Air and Naval platforms which provide protection to these platforms against blast waves, splinters and bullets. It is a complete system house for design, development, production, and integration of armouring systems onto platforms. It also provides maintenance and life cycle support for these solutions and uses special patented technologies which have been developed over years of R&D effort.

Ballistic solutions provided by MKU GmbH conform to Environmental Standards as per MIL 810 G and its facilities are EN 9100 certified.

MKU has a treasure trove of experience and has provided body armour and helmets to more than 1.5 million soldiers and ballistic protection solutions for almost 2000 platforms worldwide. MKU has in its repository, over 1000 protection solutions for more than 100 threats. Its products and solutions are used by over 230 forces spread across 100 countries including most of the member states of the European Union.

MKU GmbH will be participating in the Seawork 2014 being held at Southampton between June 10-12, 2014, where it will display its capabilities and range of protection solutions for naval vessels.
