The largest went to Sembcorp Design and Construction, a subsidiary of Singaporean construction group Chip Eng Seng. It won a $163m deal to build two stations, Gek Poh and Tawas, and two viaducts spanning a total of 1.3km on Jurong West Street.
Korean engineer Daelim was picked to design and build the Jurong East station and a 500m viaduct for a price of $142m.
The JRL is a 24km elevated line that will connect Singapore’s north-western and western areas. Work on the project is due to start this year and will complete in 2028. LTA expects Boon Lay, Gek Poh and Tawas to be delivered by 2026 and Jurong East by 2027. It will have 24 stations in total.
Some 62 trainsets have already been ordered from Hyundai Rotem of Korea.
