Safran Landing Systems and Lufthansa Technik have entered into a 10-year support agreement during the Farnborough International Airshow, covering landing gear and hydraulic equipment for the Airbus A320 family, A330, A340, and A350 aircraft. The long-term collaboration builds on several years of joint efforts aimed at addressing both current maintenance requirements and future service demands.
As part of the support agreement, Safran Landing Systems will deliver extensive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assistance for Lufthansa Technik’s global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations. This includes the supply of certified spare parts, advanced engineering and technical expertise, as well as access to the latest maintenance documentation for all aircraft programs included in the contract. By combining their respective expertise, both organizations will work closely to improve maintenance planning, streamline component repair processes, and reinforce operational continuity across Lufthansa Technik’s worldwide network.
The support agreement will also play a significant role in expanding A350 MRO capabilities at Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK in London. Through this collaboration, Lufthansa Technik will gain direct access to the latest OEM repair solutions, technical data, and engineering support from Safran Landing Systems. In addition, the support agreement ensures the continued availability of comprehensive OEM support for the Airbus A320 family, A330, and A340 aircraft at Lufthansa Technik’s landing gear facilities in Hamburg.
