The entrepreneur Leandro Moreira , founder of Truckmodelismo group and owner of the track where the meetings take place, explains how the passion was born: “I’ve always been a fan of thumbnails and when I discovered that there were these trucks control, bought one and never stopped.”
Leandro used the internet to find other fans of the sport and then decided to set up a track in SÃ£o Paulo to gather the closest colleagues of the group, which has more than 500 participants on the internet. They all play with faithful replicas of trucks from brands like Scania, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. Most of them are 1:14 scale and are manufactured by the Japanese brand Tamya.
“The first time I came here (on the track), I felt like a child. All details are very real, as signaling the tracks on the ground, trees and the gas station.
