Frankfurt am Main, 6 November 2020. Networking of the mobility and logistics industries is more important than ever. Due to the current situation, the multimodal networking and innovation platform Hypermotion is taking place on 10 and 11 November as a purely digital event. Participants will be able to follow numerous online sessions, product presentations and expert talks in multiple conferences live in the virtual realm. Highlights include keynote speeches from whistleblower Edward Snowden on the first day and best-selling author Marc Elsberg on the second.

Messe Frankfurt is inviting players from the fields of smart logistics, supply chains and future mobility to take part in this year’s purely digital Hypermotion event free of charge. Participants can look forward to two informative conference days packed with keynote speeches, panel discussions, start-up pitches and use cases, as well as the prestigious international EXCHAiNGE supply chain summit and the German Mobility Congress. For the first time, the platform will be offering a wide range of digital tools for orientation and networking. Exhibitor information, conference videos, a live chat function and an AI supported matchmaking tool will be available to participants through 10 December. The conference content will be streamed live in the Kap Europa congress centre in Frankfurt.

Hypermotion Lab – the interface between mobility and logistics

How can drones be safely integrated into air traffic control systems, and will air taxies soon be zipping us from A to B? Why do we need the internet of things, and how can the IoT create an entirely new ecosystem for entrepreneurs via space? What role does 3D printing have to play in the field of vehicle technology, and what does the future of additive manufacturing look like? All these questions will be posed and discussed in the Hypermotion Lab at the interface between mobility and logistics. There will also be two top-notch keynote speeches by whistleblower Edward Snowden on the topic of ‘Data protection in mobility and logistics’ (10 November) and best-selling author Marc Elsberg (11 November), each of which will only be available on the day as a live stream.

Three VISION mobility THINK TANKs organised by Munich-based publishers HUSS VERLAG will be studying the topic of ‘Alternative mobility in cities’. Here, the focus will be on intelligent capacity and load management, lightweight electric mobility, and start-ups from various mobility fields, offering a look behind the scenes. HUSS-VERLAG is also organising the Logistics Digital Conference (LDC!), which transfers logistics expertise into the virtual realm. Over the course of two sessions, experts will be discussing the deployment of hydrogen-powered vehicles and fuel cell technology in road haulage, as well as new digital possibilities in e-commerce logistics.
The 6th German Mobility Congress

The digital Mobility Stage is playing host to the 6th German Mobility Congress, which will be exploring the question: ‘Climate change, digitalisation, coronavirus – what will our mobility look like in future?’ On 10 November the congress will kick off with speeches by Prof. Knut Ringat (CEO and Spokesperson of the Board of Management of the Rhein Main-Verkehrsverbund GmbH), Prof. Dr. Jan Ninnemann (President of the German Association of Transport Sciences (DVWG e.V.)), State Secretary Steffen Bilger, and Minister Tarek Al-Wazir. In other presentations, experts, scientists, entrepreneurs and politicians will join forces to develop solutions for future mobility. The focus will be on the following questions: What is the current status of the climate? What is the current status of the transport industry? How can mobility be achieved successfully in spite of the coronavirus crisis and climate change? Will digitalisation offer a solution?

New logistics concepts and sustainable supply chain management

DP World, one of the world’s biggest port operators and a global partner of Hypermotion, will be presenting innovative and integrated solutions for the entire supply chain. H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, will be giving a keynote speech, as will Bruce Kemp, Global Director for Safety Certification and Regulatory Compliance at Virgin Hyperloop, who will be talking about the project ‘Virgin Hyperloop: Translating vision to reality’.

On the digital Logistics Stage, the EXCHAiNGE 2020 supply chain summit will take place. This is where participants will be able to follow the EXCHAiNGE sessions, including gripping supply chain topics such as resiliency, 5G, sustainable supply chain management, the circular economy, pitches and the presentation of the Supply Chain Awards 2020 via live streaming. The highlights at this year’s EXCHAiNGE: An opening keynote speech from thyssenkrupp-CTO Ilse Henne on 10 November on the topic of ‘Flexibility and efficiency in supply chain management’, and a keynote speech by Dr. Patric Spethmann, COO of Marc O’Polo on the topic of ‘Digitalisation… It is still not enough! By far!!’ as part of the awards ceremony on 11 November.
