The president of Railways of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Enric Ticó and the Managing Director of Rail Services de Mallorca , Matthew Priest , have signed an agreement of co-Partnership to work together in efficient and effective services and infrastructure , in order to help improve mobility within their territory of implantation .
The two public companies , which have maintained relationships passenger transport activities previously successfully are interested in establishing a long-term cooperation .
Among the areas of co -operation will be the technology , information, documentation, training, expert missions , technical assistance , sharing studies, install , facilities and supplies , dissemination and maintenance of historical and industrial cooperation . In addition , as part of this co -operation has agreed to launch a working group to promote rail tourism in the Mediterranean .
Railway Services of Mallorca is a public entity that depends on the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Territory Government of the Balearic Islands. Since 1994 responsible for managing railway lines and underground Mallorca and is formed by a team of about 180 people.
