Malindo picks Aeromobile and Panasonic for connectivity

Malindo Air has selected Aeromobile and Panasonic Avionics to provide phone and wi-fi connectivity options on its Boeing 737-900ER fleet.

Panasonic Avionics will provide Malindo with eXConnect in-flight wi-fi connectivity, while Aeromobile will offer a mobile phone service based on Panasonic’s eXPhone system, says the Malaysian carrier.

These connectivity options, called the “Malindo WiFi” and “Malindo Mobile,” will go online from 18 May on its Boeing 737-900ER fleet.

Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that Malindo operates six Boeing 737-900ERs, alongside two 737-800s and 11 ATR 72-600s.
