The U.S. markets on Monday, May 19, 2014 ended on a positive note as the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished at 16,511.86, up 0.12% and the NASDAQ Composite closed at 4,125.82, up 0.86%. The S&P 500 finished the session 0.38% higher at 1,885.08. During the trading session, seven out of ten sectors finished on a higher note. The S&P 500 Industrials Sector Index ended the day at 458.85, up 0.39%, with the index advancing 4.70% in the previous three months. 

Wabtec Corp.’s stock gained 1.68%, to close the day at $75.64. The stock recorded a trading volume of 0.54 million shares, below its three months average volume of 0.64 million shares. The stock oscillated between $74.40 and $75.87 during the session. Over the last three trading sessions and over the past one month, Wabtec Corp.’s shares have gained 0.45% and 2.37%, respectively. Further, the stock has advanced 1.84% since the start of this year. The stock is trading above its 200-day moving average of $69.77, while the 200-day moving average is below Wabtec Corp.’s 50-day moving average of $76.35. Additionally, the stock traded at a PE ratio of 24.32 and has a Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 46.79. 

On Monday, shares in Hertz Global Holdings Inc. recorded a trading volume of 3.45 million shares, much below its three months average volume of 8.35 million shares. The stock ended the day at $28.80, which was 1.41% above its previous day’s closing of $28.40, and registered an intraday range of $28.25 and $28.84. Shares of the company traded at a PE ratio of 22.26. Hertz Global Holdings Inc.’s stock has advanced 0.24% in the previous three trading sessions, 2.60% in the last one month, and 0.63% on YTD basis. The company’s stock is trading above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages of $27.41 and $25.67, respectively. Furthermore, shares of Hertz Global Holdings Inc. have an RSI of 53.28. 

Koninklijke Philips N.V.’s stock finished the Monday’s session 0.51% higher at $31.74. A total of 0.29 million shares were traded, which was below its three months average volume of 0.53 million shares. The stock vacillated between $31.49 and $31.76 during the session. Over the last one month and over the previous three months, Koninklijke Philips N.V.’s shares have lost 8.16% and 11.32%, respectively. Additionally, from the beginning of 2014, the company’s stock has fallen by 14.15%. The company’s shares are trading below their 50-day and 200-day moving averages. Moreover, the stock’s 200-day moving average of $34.20 is greater than its 50-day moving average of $33.56. Koninklijke Philips N.V.’s stock has an RSI of 37.48. 

On Monday, shares in Safe Bulkers Inc. fluctuated between $8.09 and $8.28 before ending the session 0.99% higher at $8.17. The stock reported a trading volume of 0.18 million shares, below its three months average volume of 0.56 million shares. Shares of the company traded at a PE ratio of 7.56. Safe Bulkers Inc.’s shares have lost 0.73% in the previous three trading sessions, 6.74% in the last one month, and 21.44% on YTD basis. The stock is trading below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages of $8.91 and $8.29, respectively. Moreover, shares of Safe Bulkers Inc. have an RSI of 42.06.
