At Maersk, we have always strived to push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability in the world of logistics. It was a privilege to speak to our customers and industry experts at Asia Fruit Logistica 2023, and to have a chance to drive the conversation around the themes that are pivotal in shaping the future of cold chain logistics.

At Asia Fruit Logistica 2023, our team of experts demonstrated our capabilities in providing end-to-end solutions that help maintain the integrity of your cold chain from start to finish. This includes efficient transportation, state-of-the-art refrigerated containers and advanced remote container monitoring systems.

We also showcased our Cherry Express solution at the event. Introduced in 2015 to expedite cherry deliveries from Chile to China, the Cherry Express has since evolved to encompass transport modes across sea, air and land. Complemented by integrated solutions such as customs services and remote container management, the solution is tailored to safeguard the integrity of our customers’ fresh produce. This enhanced flexibility and control across the entire supply chain helps reduce waste and improve product quality, ultimately benefitting both producers and consumers.

With a global presence, we have the privilege to work with fruit growers, distributors, and retailers from all corners of the world. This diversity allows us to understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by each market, making us the ideal partner in this dynamic industry.

While our expertise in maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive goods is well-recognised, we are equally dedicated to helping our customers optimize their entire supply chain ecosystem. Our booth at the event highlighted our proficiency in supply chain optimisation, seamless customs clearance processes, and end-to-end visibility solutions.

Our integrated logistics solutions at Maersk are designed to drive tangible results. They enable businesses to minimise transit times, reduce expenses, and elevate the overall performance of their supply chains. Access to real-time data also empowers our customers to make informed decisions and respond swiftly to changing market dynamics. By serving as a comprehensive one-stop-shop for diverse logistics needs, we allow our customers to concentrate on their core competencies, free from the intricacies of logistics management.

The Asia region presents unique challenges due to its diverse climates, varying infrastructure, and extensive geographical coverage. Our holistic approach ensures that we invest in advanced temperature monitoring and tracking systems to ensure real-time visibility. We are constantly exploring innovative solutions to further optimize cold chain efficiency within the region.

Sustainability is a central concern for Maersk, and we are keenly aware of the environmental impact of the global cold chain. Our participation at Asia Fruit Logistica 2023 allowed us to showcase our commitment to sustainability in cold chain logistics. We presented our efforts to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and explore alternative fuels for our refrigerated containers and vessels.

By investing in sustainable practices and technologies, we aim to minimize the carbon footprint of cold chains, making them more eco-friendly and aligned to our global sustainability goals. Our innovative solutions not only address the current challenges of cold chain logistics but also contribute to a more sustainable future for the industry.

In cold chain logistics, sustainability is a dynamic journey, not a static destination. At Maersk, we continually advance sustainable solutions through innovative green technologies, supply chain optimisation, and collaborative efforts that align with industry-specific sustainability standards to support our customers’ in achieving their sustainability goals.

The conversations we had at Asia Fruit Logistica 2023 provided valuable insights into our partners’ challenges and priorities. Maersk’s participation at the event reaffirmed our commitment to revolutionising cold chain logistics by focusing on end-to-end integrated solutions and better sustainability practices. We are dedicated to addressing our customers’ evolving needs and shaping the future of logistics in a sustainable and efficient manner. By working closely with our partners and industry experts, we can build a more resilient future for the global cold chain industry.
