GWC and Qatar Airways have inked a five-year service agreement to make their long-standing collaboration official. This GWC and Qatar Airways logistics agreement is a big step forward for the transport and aviation industries in Qatar. The signing event in Doha, which got a lot of media attention, shows how committed both organisations are to providing world-class standards, operational excellence, and new ideas all over the globe.

People all throughout the world have a lot of respect for Qatar Airways. It always sets the norm for high standards in flying. The airline has won a number of “Airline of the Year” awards for its dedication to safety, service, and innovative ideas. Its main base is at the world-class Hamad International Airport, and it is growing its presence across the world.

For more than ten years, GWC has been honoured to be the logistics service provider for this well-known airline and its important partners, such as Qatar Duty Free and MATAR. The airline is successful all over the world because it treats its customers well and has perfect logistics that keep it running smoothly.

GWC Group Managing Director, H.E. Sheikh Abdulla Bin Fahad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani, said: “This renewed agreement with Qatar Airways reflects the strength of Qatar national institutions working together to achieve excellence on a global stage. At GWC, we are proud to support the operations of the World’s Best Airline with world-class logistics solutions rooted in innovation, efficiency, and reliability. Our long-standing partnership with Qatar Airways is a testament to our shared values and our unwavering commitment to Qatar’s continued progress and global connectivity.”

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “We are pleased to renew our long-standing partnership with GWC. This agreement strengthens our operational capabilities and supports our continued global growth. By working together, we remain committed to delivering world-class services across a broad range of functions, guided by our shared pursuit of excellence.”

GWC is Qatar’s top logistics firm. It provides complete supply chain solutions to a number of industries, such as aviation, oil and gas, healthcare, retail, and e-commerce. GWC has always done a tremendous job of executing, coming up with new ideas, and scaling up as the Official Logistics Provider for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Because it has a robust infrastructure network, a reputation for being efficient, and a strong commitment to helping Qatar accomplish its National Vision, many of the world’s biggest firms still deal with GWC as their logistics partner.

GWC Chief Commercial Officer, Syed Maaz, said: “This partnership reflects the very best of Qatari ambition and capability. To serve a world-renowned airline like Qatar Airways is a responsibility we take immense pride in. This renewed agreement is not only an extension of services – it’s a renewed promise to uphold the gold standard of logistics that supports a globally admired aviation brand, every day.”

GWC will keep offering a complete range of integrated logistics services, including managing stocks, keeping documents, clearing customs, processing imports and exports, and other value-added services. These services will enable Qatar Airways to run its business on the ground as well as it does in the air.

The GWC and Qatar Airways logistics agreement is more than just a renewal of a contract; it shows that two national champions are working together to make Qatar more competitive throughout the world. It also makes Qatar a better place for logistics and aviation in the region and throughout the globe.
